Faith Bag — Privacy Policy

Faith Bag (“the App”) is built by an individual developer. This policy explains what data the App uses and why.

Data We Collect

• iCloud Key-Value storage: The App stores limited preferences and app state (e.g., streak count, last draw time, chosen emoji, reminder choices) in your iCloud Key-Value Store so they sync across your devices. The reset hour is now fixed and no longer synced. These items are tied to your iCloud account and are not shared with the developer.
• Core Data (on-device) & CloudKit (optional): Your takeaways are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud/CloudKit syncing, your takeaways sync privately via Apple’s services between your devices. Records reside in your private iCloud database.
• Import / Export files: If you use the Import/Export feature, the App creates or reads a JSON file containing your takeaways. Exported files are created locally and only shared if you choose to share them using iOS’s system share sheet (for example, saving to Files or sending to another app). The App does not upload these files to any developer-owned server.
• Widgets, Live Activities & App Groups: Widgets and Live Activities read your on-device settings and a lightweight copy of your takeaways via Apple’s App Group storage so they can display up-to-date content. They use a fixed 7:00 PM daily reset hour to determine current state. This does not send data to third parties.
• Notifications: If you allow notifications, the App stores your reminder preferences locally and schedules local notifications on your device. The App currently uses only local notifications. If remote notifications are enabled in the future, Apple may issue a device push token to deliver messages; the App would not link tokens to your identity.

Payments

Tips (In-App Purchases): Apple processes payments. The App does not receive or store your payment details.

Analytics / Tracking

The App does not use third-party analytics SDKs or advertising trackers.

Data Sharing

The App does not share your personal data with third parties.

Data Deletion & Your Choices

• You can disable iCloud sync and notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
• You can remove local data via the in-app “Delete Data” option or by deleting the App. iCloud Key-Value items are cleared by the App and removed per Apple’s retention schedule. If CloudKit sync is enabled, takeaways can be deleted from your iCloud via the in-app option.
